Born in 1949.
1967 - 1972 - student, Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the
USSR.
On the diplomatic service since 1972.
Career:
1972 - 1975 - duty referent, senior referent of the Embassy of the USSR in the Republic of Indonesia;
1975 - 1980 - Various diplomatic positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, USSR;
1980 - 1986 - Third, Second and First Secretary of the Embassy of the USSR in the Republic of Indonesia;
1986 - 1990 - Various diplomatic positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, USSR;
1990 - 1994 - Counsellor of the Embassy of Russia in the Republic of Indonesia;
1994 - 2000 - Senior Counsellor, Head of Section, Deputy Director of the Department – Executive Secretariat,
Deputy Director of the General Secretariat (Department) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian
Federation;
2000 - 2005 - Ambassador of Russia to Malaysia and concurrently to Brunei Darussalam;
2005 - 2010 - Director of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian
Federation;
2006 - 2010 - Member of the Collegium of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of the Russian Federation;
Since 2010 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Commonwealth
of Australia and to the Republics of Fiji, Vanuatu and Nauru (non-resident)
Speaks English and Indonesian.
Married. Has adult son and daughter.
